PLANS AND DRAWINGS ARE ESSENTIAL TO ALLOW OWNERS, PLANNERS AND BUILDERS TO VISUALISE AND UNDERSTAND A DESIGN:

Our drawings and plans have several different purposes. Planning drawings tend to be simpler to read and take less time to draw. This helps to keep the cost of the planning process down whilst the designs can change. Once Planning Permission has been granted, the external dimensions and appearance of the building are fixed. Internal layouts can still change after Planning so if clients choose to develop the designs further with us, we would finalise them at this stage. Once internal layouts have been agreed, some clients need Building Control plans and these are a much more detailed version of the original planning drawings. They incorporate structural beams, insulation, window and door information, roof, walls, floors, ventilation, sound proofing, electrical wiring, water supply pipes, drainage, fire safety and several other elements. These plans take longer to produce and so should only be drawn once to help reduce cost.
